Skate The Architect

In Franck Bohbot's series of photographs featuring skateboarder Sierra Prescott, we are treated to warm and cinematic images that showcase the unique relationship between skateboarding and architecture. Through these photographs, Bohbot takes us on a journey through his neighborhood, showcasing some of its most iconic locations and structures. One of the most striking images in the series features Prescott skateboarding next to the Richard Neutra VDL house. The juxtaposition of the sleek, modernist architecture with the raw energy and athleticism of the skateboarder creates a beautiful and powerful visual contrast. The dreamy, warm light in the photograph only adds to its cinematic quality, making it feel like a still from a movie. Other images in the series focus on Sunset Boulevard, with its quaint little shops and bustling street life, as well as the Silverlake Reservoir, which provides a beautiful and serene backdrop for Prescott's skateboarding. Through these pictures, we get a sense of the vibrant and diverse community that Bohbot and Prescott call home. Through his lens, we are transported to a world of dreamy light and raw energy, where the urban landscape becomes a playground for athletes and artists alike.
